Will Smith sat down with Access Hollywood‘s Shaun Robinson for an exclusive interview. The ‘Men in Black’ star addressed about the rumors surrounding his marriage with his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, shared the difference between raising a girl and a boy as well as how he came up with the concept/idea behind the upcoming sequel:
ON THE RUMORS ABOUT HIS MARRIAGE:
“For me with that type of stuff you can’t take that personally. It’s just a game. And it’s funny I don’t look at things as the upside or downside you know? It’s just a part of the game, you know? I’m not gonna play that part, you but I can understand where somebody would have something in their heart where they need to stab at somebody, where they need to poke at somebody. But I’m indestructible, so…. [laughs]”ON THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RAISING WILLOW AND JADEN:
“Listen — look, that’s a handful. That Willow, she is, uh… You see, boys are easy. Like, it’s really easy with boys. It’s like, until you can beat me in a fist fight you’ve gotta do what I say!”ON THE CONCEPT BEHIND ‘MEN IN BLACK III’:
“You know I came up [with the idea] — I don’t remember, we were sitting on the set or something, and I just loved this character, I loved this world and you know, even the people. Barry Sonnenfeld is the like, the absolute lunatic, [and] Josh Brolin is the secret weapon.”
