My how Olivia Huxtable has grown! Raven-Symone stepped out on stage on Tuesday evening as she made her broadway debut in the Broadway musical production, ‘Sister Act’ (March 27). The former ‘Cosby Show’ child star was decked in sequins and looked fabulous on stage as she played the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier, (popularly played by Whoopi Goldberg in the 1992 film) at NYC’s Broadway Theatre.

Speaking of Whoopi Goldberg, Symone shared the advice what Whoopi gave her and her excitement for the role in an interview with Broadway.com:

She just said to listen to [director] Jerry Zaks and really concentrate, and that’s what’s going on here. The character is written so well and the musical is directed so well, so it’s fun to be able to just slip on the clothes of this fabulous character. I’m really proud to be a part of something like this. [Source]
